Teachers' Guide: Activity Summary:
Sustainability: Airfield to Wildlife Haven
A PowerPoint presentation leads the class through the story of the restoration of the site at Greenham, explaining about the materials that had to be removed, as well as how the project was managed in a highly sustainable way, meaning that nearly all of the materials removed were recycled.
The presentation provides much scope for discussion and group interaction at both Key Stages, but the activities that follow it are more geared for Key Stage 2 children.
