Teachers' Guide: Activity Summary:
Biodiversity: Nightjar Dilemma

This activity introduces a species of bird to the children that they are unlikely to know about; the nightjar. Through a PP presentation, which can be used as a starter with the class, all the relevant information is provided for the teacher and the class.

The children then have to design a poster, informing local public why it is important to keep their dogs on a lead during breeding season on the Common. Suitable for upper KS 1 and KS 2.
