What do we mean by ‘sustainability’?

It means that we must look after our planet now, so that future generations can enjoy it as well. It’s about leaving the world in a better condition than we find it now. We can all do things to help protect the planet and look after the resources we have.

Most of us have heard of the three ‘R’s……. REDUCE, RE-USE, RECYCLE. These are a way we can all play a part in protecting the planet, so our children, grandchildren and even our great- grandchildren and beyond can enjoy it.

This is about how Greenham Common was turned from an airfield, back to heathland in a sustainable way….. how materials were reused and recycled and how wildlife has returned, making this area more attractive for future generations.
